The team

Two generations.
One adjustment table.

Dr. David Kling opened the practice in 1989. Thirty-seven years later, his son Austin is the doctor next door — and their team of four includes two additional associate DCs. No rotating strangers, no high-pressure plans, no surprises on your bill.

David grew up watching his own father work with his hands and decided early that medicine, for him, would mean touch and time — not prescriptions. He has adjusted three generations of some San Antonio families.

Large private rooms
You are treated in your own private room — never triaged through a hallway of other patients or a rack of stim machines. One patient, one room, full attention.
We do the paperwork
Most insurance accepted, and we file all of it for you. We verify your benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises on your bill.
Second opinions welcome
Secondary evaluations, honest answers, and M.D. & attorney referrals when you need them. We will tell you when chiropractic is the right tool — and when it is not.
What brings people in

Conditions we treat every week.

Most of the people who walk through our door are not chiropractic regulars. They are office workers who slept wrong, parents who picked up a toddler the wrong way, athletes mid-season, and folks who were rear-ended on 1604 yesterday afternoon.

No. 01

Lower back pain

From sit-all-day stiffness to acute disc flare-ups. Most patients feel meaningful change inside two to four visits.

No. 02

Neck pain & stiffness

Forward-head posture, sleeping on a bad pillow, or post-MVA whiplash. Often paired with shoulder tension and headaches.

No. 03

Headaches & migraine

Cervicogenic headaches respond particularly well to upper-cervical work and soft-tissue release of the suboccipitals.

No. 04

Sciatica & disc pain

Radiating leg pain, numbness, or tingling. We often pair adjustments with spinal decompression for disc-related cases.

No. 05

Sports injuries

Powerlifters, runners, weekend cyclists, high-school athletes. Dr. Austin is the lift nerd you want in your corner.

No. 06

Auto-accident recovery

We document thoroughly, communicate with your attorney or adjuster, and design a recovery plan that does not drag on.

No. 07

Pregnancy & postpartum

Gentle techniques and supported positioning for low back, hip, and pelvic discomfort through every trimester.

No. 08

Children & teens

Light, careful, age-appropriate work for growth-related complaints, sports stress, and sleep posture issues.

No. 09

Shoulder pain

Rotator cuff irritation, frozen shoulder, and upper-thoracic involvement — common in desk workers and overhead athletes alike.

No. 10

Wrist & carpal tunnel

Repetitive strain and nerve entrapment in the wrist and forearm. Often linked to upper-cervical nerve root compression we can address at the source.

No. 11

Hip & knee pain

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction, IT band tightness, and hip imbalances that get blamed on the knee when the problem starts higher up.

No. 12

Plantar fasciitis & foot pain

Radial pressure wave and soft-tissue work for stubborn heel pain. Often resolves cases that have not responded to rest alone.

Treatment approach

Hands first.
Technology when it actually helps.

Every patient gets a real exam, real listening, and a plan that explains itself. The tools below are not a menu — they are the kit we draw from once we understand what is actually going on.

Tool · 01

Chiropractic adjustments

Diversified manual technique, drop-table, and gentler instrument-assisted work for sensitive cases. We match the technique to the patient, not the patient to the technique.

Tool · 02

Ring Dinger®

A specific, non-surgical decompression maneuver that lengthens the spine in a single, supported motion. Often used for lumbar disc compression and stubborn radicular symptoms.

Tool · 03

Spinal decompression

Computer-controlled, motorized traction designed to take pressure off compressed discs in the lumbar and cervical spine. Comfortable, quiet sessions of fifteen to twenty minutes.

Tool · 04

Radial pressure wave

Acoustic pulses delivered to chronic soft-tissue trouble spots — plantar fascia, tennis elbow, calcific shoulder tendinopathy. Stimulates the body's own repair signals.

Tool · 05

Percussion therapy

Mechanical soft-tissue work that gets deeper than a thumb can comfortably go. Used to prep tight tissue before adjusting, and to release post-workout knots.

Tool · 06

Cold-laser therapy

Low-level laser used to support tissue healing in inflamed tendons, ligaments, and joints. Painless, no heat, often layered on top of manual care.

Tool · 07

Movement & home exercise

Short, specific exercises you can do at the kitchen counter. We would rather give you four moves you will actually do than fourteen you will not.

"Your spine is not a subscription. We will tell you when you do not need to come back."

First visit

What to expect on your first appointment.

No mystery. No "let's see how it goes." Here is exactly what happens, in order, on the day you walk in.

  1. 1

    Paperwork (15 minutes)

Download the new-patient packet ahead of time or fill it out in the waiting room. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID.

  2. 2

    Conversation (20 minutes)

The doctor sits down with you. We listen first. What hurts, when, how long, what you have already tried, and what you actually need to be able to do.

  3. 3

    Exam & imaging

Orthopedic, neurologic, and range-of-motion tests. If imaging is needed, we will order it; if not, we will tell you that too.

  4. 4

    Honest plan

You will leave with a clear plan, an estimate, and an answer to "how long until I feel better." No fourteen-page packets, no high-pressure sales.

  5. 5

    Treatment, if you are ready

Most new patients get their first adjustment the same day. If today is not the right day for treatment, that is fine — we will reschedule, no charge.

"

Dr. David Kling is the best. I have been seeing him since 1991 and he has always been there when I needed him. The whole staff is wonderful. I would not go anywhere else.

William W. · Patient since 1991
"

He took me from constant, chronic neck pain to no pain at all. He takes his time with each patient, explains every step, and actually follows up. I can not recommend him enough.

Erin L. · Chronic neck pain
"

My entire family has seen Dr. Kling for over two decades now. He is incredibly knowledgeable, always attentive, and treats every person like a neighbor, not a number.

Samantha P. · Multi-generation patient
"

I came in with severe back pain and no clue what was going on. Dr. Kling sat with me, explained it clearly, and had a real plan. I walked out the same day feeling noticeably better.

Christina R. · New patient, acute back pain
Common questions

What new patients usually ask first.

If the question on your mind is not here, just call us — we would rather answer it now than have you guess.

How long until I feel better?

Most new patients notice a meaningful change inside two to four visits. Chronic, long-standing issues take longer — we will give you an honest read after the first exam, not a generic 24-visit plan.

What is the difference between an adjustment and a massage?

A massage works on muscle and soft tissue. An adjustment is a precise, controlled movement of a specific joint to restore motion and reduce nerve irritation. Both have a place; we often use them in the same visit.

Is chiropractic care safe for children?

Yes — when done by a chiropractor trained to work on kids. Pediatric adjustments are remarkably gentle, often nothing more than fingertip pressure. Both Dr. David and Dr. Austin treat children regularly.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what is wrong and how long it has been wrong. We do not sell prepaid packages. After your exam we will recommend a plan with a clear end-point, and we will revisit it together as you progress.

Do I need a referral?

No. Chiropractors are primary-contact providers in Texas. You can call us directly, no referral required.

What if I have been to a chiropractor before and did not like it?

Tell us why on the phone. There are dozens of techniques — if a high-velocity adjustment is not for you, there are gentler options that work just as well for many conditions.

Will an adjustment hurt?

Most patients describe the sound (the audible 'pop') as more startling than the sensation. The adjustment itself is quick and usually relieving. We will not surprise you — every movement is explained before it happens.
